Birgham Photo Club - Photo of the Month - September
Birgham Photography Club meets on the first Tuesday in the month at 7pm in Birgham Village Hall.
TThe Photography Club met last Tuesday where members enjoyed two sets of photographs: the theme for the month was Industrial/Agricultural and the photo of the month was provided by Martin Polhammer. His photos depicts the building of a footbridge as part of the ancient road bridge which crosses the River Wharfe at Otley.
Our second set of photographs were as the result of our outing to Norham in August. Winner on the night was Mike Wales with a lovely photo of an avenue of trees in the village.
We are now busy planning our annual Photo Exhibition to be held at Birgham Village Hall on Saturday 3rd October from 10am - 4pm.
ALTHOUGH OUR WEE VILLAGE CAN'T BOAST ANY ICONIC LANDMARKS AS SUCH, WE STILL HAVE A FEW NOTABLE SCENIC VIEWS AND INVARIABLY THERE WILL OFTEN BE AN INTERESTING ASPECT OF SCOTTISH COUNTRY LIFE THAT THE CAMERA CAN CAPTURE.
SO, IF YOU’VE TAKEN AN INTERESTING OR UNUSUAL PHOTO OF LIFE IN AND AROUND BIRGHAM - PLEASE SHARE IT WITH US - WE WILL GIVE IT PRIDE OF PLACE ON THIS PAGE AND IT COULD BE A CONTENDER FOR THE 2026 BIRGHAM VILLAGE LIFE CALENDAR!
